I Tried The Dame Kip Vibrator With My Partner. Here’s What I Thought.

By Ellie Rose

This week I had the pleasure of trying the Kip by Dame Products for the first time and to sum it up in three words: I highly recommend. I find that a lot of clitoral vibrators have great vibes, but they are too small, too rounded, too specific, or too complicated to be super effective during sexy moments (solo or with a partner). The brilliance of this baby comes down to shape, size, and ease of use in the moment.

The Kip Vibrator: My Review

Let’s start with the shape. At first glance, the Kip exhibits a point that looks somewhat aggressive. However, that point is actually a soft, flexible tongue called the “flutter tip” that is the Kip’s secret sauce to make your juices flow. The flutter tip leads into a subtle cupped face that can distribute vibrations across your clit as the tip works its magic. And it’s not only the softly pointed head that provides pleasure. The whole Kip vibrates when she is turned on, so the smooth spine and long sides of the Kip can also play a big role in the experience.

How to Use the Kip

Now let’s talk about the various settings. In the past I’ve found myself struggling to increase the intensity or change the vibe cadence while in the head of the moment. The Kip’s design makes it super easy to know which buttons to click just by feel. My partner and I played around a bit with the different settings, so let me map them out for you:

Setting 1: When you first turn the vibrator on, it has a steady, consistent vibration.
Setting 2: If you click the on/off button again, you get a gradual wave pattern.
Setting 3: Click it a second time and you get a weird stepped pattern that actually makes no sense to me… but who knows. You may love it.
Setting 4: Click the button a third time and you get a “treadmill angled at 40 degrees with periodic drop-offs” cadence. This feels like a vibration that starts slow, steadily increases in intensity, stops suddenly, and then starts over again. If any of you like math, it’s like experiencing a logistical curve over and over again.
Setting 5: Click the button a fourth time (and the last before we start this shindig again) triggers an on/off pulsing that was a little loud for my taste.

Great Solo and with My Partner

I’m a lesbian and I got to use the Kip both on myself and my partner. When using it on my partner, it was a perfect compliment to my handy-work. I was able to finger my partner while moving the Kip along her clit. Midway through, I tried out the second setting and kicked the intensity up a notch. The Kip and I were like Lewis & Clark, exploring the land of pleasure and orgasms.

Now, when it comes to using toys on myself, things are slightly less direct. My clit is a sensitive snowflake that likes to be teased more than punched with pleasure. The Kip was perfect for me because we could keep the vibe light, consistent, and apply pressure just south or north of the clit border, which was super effective in getting me going.

Needless to say, the Kip is a perfect pleasure companion. In addition to being an awesome product in the wild, the Kip comes beautifully packaged. Along with a charging cord, it comes with a super informative user guide, and a nice little storage bag…. Which is perfect for those of you at your parent’s house. ;)
